in this week's attack on the u.s. consulate in libya came home today in flag draped coffins. as mike mibach reports the men were honored as heros and patriots in a ceremony at joint base andrews just outside of the nation's capital. >> reporter: one casket at a time. four americans brought back to their home soil awaiting their families, their president. >> they had a mission, and they believed in it. they knew the danger, and they accepted it. >> reporter: the transfer of remains ceremony was somber yet patriotic as four u.s. diplomats were honored including bay area native ambassador chris stevens. >> there in benghazi he layed down his life for his friends. libyan and american. and for us all. today chris is home. >> secretary of state hillary clinton asked stevens to be the u.s. ambassador to libya this year knowing the u.s. needed a strong presence and leader to engage with the country's revolutionaries that overthrew gadhafi. stevens was the man. >> reporter: he was known not only for his courage, but for his smile. goofy but contagious for his sense of fun and that california cool.

of a shooting. it happened about 6:30 at foot fill. a man in his 60's was shot in the chest and taken to highland hospital where he is under going surgery. the gunman is said to have been a young person, possibly a teen who fired the gun from a nearby bus stop. >>> the sheriff's department is looking for an 18-year-old accused of shooting another teen in bay point. he the he is wanted for the shooting death of a 17-year-old fernando gonzalez. . the shooting prompted a shelter in place for the neighborhood. in seven minutes the mystery of who killed a couple. one of the victims was pregnant with twins. >> a new fire prompting evacuations tonight. that fire is burn agriculture long scott valley road. people have been told to evacuate. a viewer from the area sent us pictures showing the smoke, pillowing over a hill. 450 acres have burned since that fire started shortly after 1:00. >>> and more than a dozen homes in danger as two wildfires continue to burn. they are burning off highway 16, south of highway 20. they have grown to more than 16,000 acres. right now they are 35% contained. r

this morning the same type of cloud coverage. not that cold during the day temperatures warm up, 90s stay a little warmer but we'll see some 90s stream in. it's originating from down here and it's the tropics and it's a dying tropical storm. that moisture has been pulled hundreds of miles north now it's just sitting at our doorsteps. it's going to be humid out there, it's going to be muggy. there'll be filtered sunshine. and a chance for a shower, a stray shower and maybe even a thundershower and certainly a good chance for a thundershower up on the west coast of the sierra nevada and higher elevations so that's the big issue. so tomorrow night we're covered in clouds. it's humid out there. feels like san diego. it doesn't feel like the bay area tomorrow. it's going to be warm, it's going to be humid. watch what happens overnight wednesday. boom right here. a lot of subtropical moisture i mentioned it at 5:00 and 6:00. it's very unstable. you can easily get a thundershower trigger a light lightning strike perhaps. that's at 4:00 a.m. on thursday morning. again thursday afternoon some more

. that's the weather headline. temperatures on the increase back this to the 90's. you will see that. the forecast overnight lows have been cool, kind of cool again tomorrow. san mateo, sfo will have fog. napa. i don't know if you will have fog. i think oakland. maybe toward vallejo, not a lot though. the low pressure center that was north of here is gone. high pressure is back but it's just slow to rebuild and we will see some slight on shore, off shore winds, little bit above, west wind and that will be enough to keep it almost the same. that is tomorrow. we go forward, the high pressure establishes itself, and we get a high pressure typical pattern. tomorrow morning at 6:00 a.m. there is the fog push and there it is a cross the bay. what you notice, you see it's not up in to the east bay hills, the tri valley area. getting stuck up in the coastal hills, shouldn't spill in to the san jose area, shouldn't spill into mountain view or morgan hill. in the afternoon the fog, burns back and just be what it did today. back to the coast. some clearing at the coast but not much. the forecas
